Summer sweets!


Looking for some sweet recipes to add some deliciousness to your summer!  I've got a couple you could try: Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Cookies and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies.

Ingredients:1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

Directions:Heat oven to 375 degrees F. In a large bowl, beat sugar, brown sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add peanut butter, milk, vanilla and egg; beat well. Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place dough in  ungreased mini muffin tins. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 minutes or until golden brown. After the cookies cool, gently press a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup in the center of the cookie.



White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies
Ingredients:1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
1 cup coarsely chopped white chocolate

Directions:Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and almond extracts. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Mix in the macadamia nuts and white chocolate. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
